Hello Friends,
God is doing amazing transformations in the Pacific! We have an Echo Warehouse and Office in South Auckland, New Zealand (pronounced ‘Aotearoa” in Maori language). The activities here include:
Cooking hot meals & packaging them with love
Providing sleeping bags, clothes , blankets, and hygiene packs for the homeless
Giving furniture for families that are getting into their own housing or whom have moved from their cars, hotels or other temporary accommodation and into their own places
Counseling services
Shower & toilet facility
Bible & Christian materials
This facility has serviced hundreds of individuals and families. It’s a safe, clean & loving environment where Christ is the Hope for all Humanity. On top of that we have set up a mobile barber trailer that goes into the city & suburban areas providing free haircuts for all those struggling. It’s been great friends, to see all types of people coming to get a haircut. We have a speaker blasting clean and wholesome Christian music, brothers and sisters praying for people, people are fed warm cooked food and we provide nappies, sanitary pads, shampoos, soaps and clothes for free.
Poverty is all over the world, and we can tackle it not only with the physical needs but also with the Spiritual. That’s why we believe taking the Gospel on the streets and meeting people's needs, is working. Most of these people we help never go to church or would walk in one. But we the believers making the Light of Christ Shine on the streets is taking the Church outside the four walls. And we are seeing So many getting saved, so many leaving gang life and turning to Christ then coming to church, both young and old crying and getting touched by the power of Jesus, so many been healed from abuse & trauma, some are now serving in Church !!! Thank you Jesus for making a way into the broken lives of those we thought we couldn’t reach out to, but you always make a way!
Acts 4:12 And there is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved.”
We have had many church’s ask how did you guys come up with the idea of this reach out as they have tried to come up with ideas but it never happened, but we always reply, we heard Jesus tell us to do this, we never came up with it. Thank you Jesus, you are so clever. I love how He will pursue the lost sheep, or those that are crying out for help. We always sing that song, “Break my heart for what breaks yours”, question is do we really mean it? Please take this as encouragement and a challenge in love. If God shows you what breaks His Heart, would you go do something about it? How much for those like me who sing that line in church!
